Naada Varenyam celebrated 5 years in September 2021
by organizing 5 Special Programs.
Talent Promotion 2021
The first program was the Online Talent Promotion event - participation by Carnatic Music Students under three categories
- Tiny Tots Talent (Up to 5 years)
- Budding Talent (6 to 10 years)
- Growing Talent (11 to 15 years)
This premiered on our YouTube Channel on Vinyaka Chathurthy, 10 Sep 2021. The program was a huge success with over 100+ participants and 1000+ YouTube views. All participants were issued an e-certificate.
Ghandharva Vidya Seva Ratnam 2021
The second program was an Awards function - Mirudanga Vidwan Therezundur Shri V SundaraRaghavan mama was presented with the title Gandharva Vidhya Seva Rathnam for his yeoman service to Carnatic music for the past 60 years.
The function was held on 10 Sep 2021. A welcome address & introduction speech about the awardee, was given by the organiser Shri V Rajagopalan. The Title was then presented, and an acceptance speech by the Awardee followed. A vote of thanks by the organiser concluded the program. An online felicitation was arranged and many well wishers, students and eminent artists, participated.

Place of Birth : Kumbakonam, Tanjore District, Taminadu
V SundaraRaghavan started learning mirudangam from 1960 @ sri Krishna Gana Sabha Music School, Chennai under the tutelage of Laya Vadya Kovida Brahmasri Kumbakonam M Rajappa Iyer. He started giving performance from 1961 in various sabhas, temples and marriages throughout India. He has accompanied Vidwan Sri Madurai Somasundrampillai, Vidwan Sri Thiruvengadu V Jeyaraman, Vidwan Sri B V Raman, B V Lakshmanan and many other leading artists for concerts, harikatha, namasankeerthanam and dance programs at various prestigious sabhas.
He holds the titles Kanchi Kamakoti Peeta Asthana Vidwan, by Kanchi Mutt, Service for Music Lifetime Achievement Award (Rajaji award) from Tambras, graded artist from AIR and Doordarshan. He worked as a visiting professor for mirudangam and thavil at Tamil Isai Sangam Chennai, Pallavi classes for vocal, examiner for government examinations in mirudangam at Tamil Isai Sangam Chennai, judge post held for various competitions, vocal and mridangam, by various organisation in and around Chennai. He started teaching from 1978, both mirudangam and vocal, from (over about 1000 student) till date, at various places. He now conducts classes under the auspices of Layo Daya.
He served and is serving as president, secretary, treasurer and in various other capacities, in leading music organisatiosn and prestigious sabhas
for organising concerts and taking care of sabha activities from 1970 till date.
He has extended valuable guidance and support to many new and upcoming organisations.
All this while, he served at the Union Bank of India for 32 years as Assistant Manager.
Shanmatha Vaibhavam Concert
The third program was a thematic concert – Shanmatha Vaibhavam - presented by Vidwan Neyveli K Ganesh, Violin by Vidwan V Rajagopalan, Mirudangam by Tanjavur Balakrishnan, Ghatam by Kalaimamani Vidwan H Shivaramakrishnan.
The program was held in the premises of Kanchi Sankara Mutt, Adambakkam, on the Anusham day 12 Sep 2021.
Shanmatha Vaibhavam Upanyasam
The fourth program was a Upanyasam on the theme Shanmatha Vaibhavam By Shri Shyam Sundar of Adambakkam. It premiered on our YouTube Channel and was well received by rasikas.
Compositions on 5 Composers
The fifth program was by Vidwan Paramakudi Shri S Ravindran. The vidwan presented his own compositions set to tune and sung by him. The presentation was on Five Composers - Aandal, Ragavendrar, Thyagabrahmam, Mahaperiyava and Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. It premiered on our YouTube Channel and was well received by rasikas.
