About the Organizer

V Rajagopalan, started learning violin since the age of 10, from Violin Vidwan Kumbakonam Ramamurhty Iyer, later learnt from Vidwan TH Ramachandra Rao, followed by a vocal based training from Kalaimamani Sangeethanatak Academy awardee Maha Vidwan pallavi Trichy Swaminatha Iyer & higher level violin learning form Kalaimamani V Thiyagarajan (son of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Papa Venkataramiah). From 2005, he took advanced training from Padma Bhushan, Sangeetha Kalanidhi, Professor T N Krishnan.

Rajagopalan gives carnatic violin solo concerts and also plays as an accompanist for other concerts. He has authored a book titled "2P^s & The Way Forward" - a book on carnatic music performance as a profession. The book can be ordered from pothi.com.
